OD550 readings were taken every 30 min over the course of 10.5 h. Bars represent mean OD550 values ± SEM (n = 3, biological replicates). (b) Growth curves of Neisseria gonorrhoeae MS11 incubated with 50 µM NQNO or DMSO were determined as in (a). In parallel, aliquots of the same samples were taken at the indicated time points and plated to determine colony forming units (cfu). Black bars indicate cfu of DMSO-treated, red bars are derived from NQNO-treated cultures.
