Wedge is made of a low-Z material (that is, polyethylene or polymethylmethacrylate). Q1–Q4 are quadrupole magnets. D1 is a dipole magnet. Here p represents the momentum of the particle and Δp represents the maximum momentum spread in the beam. The particle trajectories are defined based on the momentum of the particle.
