a, b, M–H loops collected on films without a metallic overlayer (a) and with a Pt overlayer (b), demonstrating that Pt does not alter the magnetic properties. The magnetic hysteresis loop is due to the presence of a very weak canted moment above TM, owing to bulk DMI, as is well known37,38.
