  1. Data represent mean pEC50 (pEC50 ± s.e.m.) and Emax (Emax ± s.e.m.). Efficacy (Emax) is the maximum effect which can be expected from this ligand. Experiments were performed in triplicate. Statistical differences between wild-type LHCGR and mutants were determined by two-sided Student’s t-test. The Emax and surface expression of LHCGR mutants were normalized to the wild type, which was set to 100. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 versus wild type.
