Severity was graded as mild (grade 1), moderate (grade 2) or severe (grade 3) based on the definition provided in Methods. Healthy adults 18–55 years of age were included in part I (n = 12), and participants 56–80 years of age were included in part II (n = 24). A detailed description of the data is presented in Extended Data Table 1.
