  1. Data shown are export flux of different elements for the different study locations and pCO2 levels, given as temporal averages over the analysis period. Note that elemental ratios given here are calculated from the entire data timeseries of each mesocosm (and not the temporal averages of Si, N and C shown here), in order to preserve the temporal variability of the raw data. The full timeseries raw data are available as Supplementary Data, as well as in the PANGAEA data archive (see ‘Data availability’).
