Note that the couplings of EMo and EMe are imaginary and diagonal along their respective modulations axes \(\widehat{{\boldsymbol{\kappa }}} \sim (\widehat{{\bf{x}}}+\sqrt{2}\widehat{{\bf{z}}})/\sqrt{3}\) and \(\widehat{{\bf{y}}}\), highlighting natural optical activity.
