  1. afν>0 represents the fraction of galaxies defined as pure disks, derived from modelling the ν distribution with a two-Gaussian model, with uncertainties computed as the 1σ standard deviation.
  2. bB/A is the intrinsic face-on axial ratio, assumed for a log-normal distribution, whereas C/A is the intrinsic edge-on axial ratio that is assumed for a Gaussian distribution. B/A and C/A are the weighted means of average B/A and C/A, calculated as the first moment of the distribution of B/A and C/A, respectively. σB/A and σC/A are the weighted means of σB/A and σC/A, calculated as the second central moment of the distribution of B/A and C/A, respectively. The uncertainties are the 1σ standard deviation (see Methods).
