Global distributions of relative rarity are shown in density curves above biome-level boxplots. Boxplots indicate the median (center line), first and third quartiles (lower and upper box edges), and 1.5× IQR (box whiskers). Points shown here are all samples that passed quality control checks and used as training data for richness models.
