Benchmarking the W22v2 assembly quality and completeness. A comparison of the W22v2 assembly with a Sanger-based assembly of a 238-kb maize BAC23 (Genbank; EU338354). This region contains five genes (yellow/tan symbols along line) as well as a number of transposons (colored triangles). The W22v2 assembly matches the majority of the sequence at quite high identity (>99%) and the locations of gaps in the W22v2 genome (indicated by red dotted lines).
