Cells were co-incubated as in Fig. 5 with MC1Cy5.5 and the fluid phase endocytic marker Oregon Green dextran for the indicated times from one minute to overnight, then washed, fixed and imaged. The MC1Cy5.5 puncta (first appearing after 6 minutes) colocalized with dextran at all time points, indicating they are endosomal (arrows). Scale bar is 40 µm. Data were reproduced in at least 2 independent experiments.
