Data are presented as scatter plots with dots showing individual patient measurements, columns median values and error bars range. N = 8 for non-critically ill and n = 9 for critically ill COVID-19 patients. Statistical significance between the two groups was determined by a two tailed Mann–Whitney U test for non-parametric comparisons. n.s.: Not significant.
