Samples from healthy controls (n = 37) and asymptomatic individuals (n = 37) were collected for assays measuring the concentrations of 48 cytokines and chemokines. A. Thirty-two cytokines or chemokines were similar between healthy controls and asymptomatic individuals. B. Sixteen cytokines or chemokines were significantly different between healthy controls and asymptomatic individuals. The boxplots show medians (middle line), first and third quartiles (boxes), while the whiskers show 1.5× the interquartile range (IQR) above and below the box. Unpaired, two-sided Mann-Whitney U test p values are depicted in plots, and the significant p value cut-off was set to 0.001.
