Data justice

The fair allocation of burdens and benefits of data sharing, and the fair representation and treatment of people because of their data.

Data solidarity

The collective commitment to equitably distribute the benefits and burdens associated with data initiatives in a population, which promotes a sense of togetherness, mutual care and the duty to do our share for the common good.

Data nationalism

Data governance prioritizes the interests of the nation-state, in which the obligations of justice, solidarity and cooperation are primarily circumscribed.

Data regionalism

Data governance prioritizes the interests of a supranational entity or region of the world.

Data cosmopolitanism

Data governance considers the interests of the global community. Justice, solidarity, and cooperation is not limited to any country or region but extends to the entire world.
