Following publication of this article, the authors noticed that in the published structures of the respirasomes they had mistakenly used the heart instead of the liver isoform of certain subunits (COX6A2 instead of liver-isoform COX6A1 and COX8B instead of liver-isoform COX8A). The differences in sequence between isoforms are minor and so were not obvious from cryo-EM density. The authors have updated Table 1 and Extended Data Table 1, Fig. 3a and Extended Data Fig. 7, the text and models in the PDB database accordingly. These changes do not affect the conclusions of the manuscript and one of the original referees of the manuscript attests to that. The authors apologize for any confusion caused by these inadvertent mistakes. The changes are made in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
