Digitization artifact correction by histogram jittering. Removal of the digitization artifact is illustrated with a 2D k-E slice across the Brillouin zone center (at 0 \({{\rm{\AA }}}^{-1}\) momentum) of the band mapping dataset measured at FHI on WSe2. The images before and after histogram jittering and their difference are shown in (a–c) respectively. A zoomed-in section of the data are shown in the insets in (a–c). The effective removal of the digitization artifact is further demonstrated in the momentum-integrated energy distribution curves in (d). The traces in (d) are computed by averaging horizontally over their corresponding 2D images in (a–c).
