From: LESO: A ten-year ensemble of satellite-derived intercontinental hourly surface ozone concentrations

The workflow of generating and validating of the LESO ensemble. The main procedures include data collection, model setup and validation, dataset production, and dataset assessments. The region “China” represents the geographical area of the mainland. The region “Europe” includes 25 countries, i.e., Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The region “US” refers to the continental United States. We used seven meteorological variables: shortwave solar radiation (ssr) and vertical profiles of temperature (t), O3 mixing ratio (o3), relative humidity (r), U-/V- wind components (u/v), cloud cover (cc), and rain water content (crwc) at 200 hPa, 500 hPa, 700 hPa, 900 hPa, and 1000 hPa. The term “LOOCV” refers to the Leave-One-Out Cross-Validation.
