Tissue sampling outline. The wound healing experiment was conducted with 6 animals, each having 12 wounds. On each sampling day, tissue samples were collected from 3 animals, from either 1 or 2 wounds per animal. After tissue collection, the wound was removed from the experiment and no longer participated in it.
