From: Triplet p-wave pairing correlation in low-doped zigzag graphene nanoribbons
A piece of a honeycomb lattice displaying zigzag edges with L y  = 4 which defines the width of the ribbon in the transverse direction and L x  = 12, which defines the length in the longitudinal direction. The lattice sites at zigzag edge are much larger than the sites in the bulk, indicating that the charge carriers are moving along the edge.
