  1. Data is divided between treatments and trials. Approach: indicates that the bird landed on the petri dish, excluding if the bird then attacked. Attacked: includes pecking, picking up and survivable damage (e.g. removing a leg), this excludes prey that was then killed. Killed: indicates that the bird has damaged the prey enough to release haemolymph, this does not exclude prey that was then consumed. Consumed: this indicates that a portion of the prey was eaten, it does not mean the whole prey was eaten.
