Low frequency magnetic fields induce cell proliferation inhibition, cell cycle arrest and cell senescence of lung cancer. A549 cells and LLC cells were exposed to LF-MF (0.4T, 7.5 Hz) or Sham MF for 6 days (2 h per day). (A,B) Cell proliferation rate was detected using CCK-8 assay after exposure to MF. (C,D) Cell cycle of A549 cells was detected by using flow cytometry after exposure to MF for 6 days. Mean percentage of G1, S and G2 phase cells was calculated. (E,F) Cell cycle of LLC cells was detected by using flow cytometry after exposure to MF for 6 days. Mean percentage of G1, S and G2 phase cells was calculated. (G) Cells was subjected to SA-β-gal staining after exposure to MF for 6 days. (H) Numbers of SA-β-Gal positive cells was calculated. All experiments were repeated three times.
