miR-19a overcomes gefitinib resistance in vivo. A549 cells were cultured, collected, washed and resuspended in culture medium (approximately 2 × 107/ml) before being subcutaneously injected into athymic nude mice. After each tumor reached macroscopic size, gefitinib (10 mg/kg) was orally administered to each mouse every other day, and each tumor was measured. The tumor growth curves of four groups for a period of 3 weeks were generated (A,B).
