Growth curve and Mn oxidation activity of E. coli MB266. The green curve represents the growth curve of E. coli MB266. After inoculation in 250-mL flasks with a 1% inoculum size, the OD600nm value of the culture was determined over a period of 5 d during which the cells were grown in liquid Lept medium. The blue curve shows the changes in the Mn oxidation activity of E. coli MB266. The time points used for the proteomic analyses are indicated by arrows.
