Schematic diagram of the charge pump circuit. The input electrical power from the enzymatic glucose biofuel cell drives the charge pump circuit, wherein the voltage is amplified and charged into the capacitor until it reaches 1.8 V. After which the circuit switch discharges the capacitor and enables current to be supply to the light emitting diode (LED) as a pulsed wave voltage between 1.2 to 1.8 V.
