The speckle patterns in Step III. (a) Is the speckle pattern of the reflected light with vertical polarization through PBS1 from laser 2. (b) Is the speckle pattern of the transmitted light with horizontal polarization from laser 1. (c) Is the image of the speckle pattern when both laser light beams are focused on the RGGP at the same time. Though the intensities of light in (a,b) are not identical, the speckle patterns are almost same.
