Growth of PT strains under different stress conditions. (A) Hpx/Dnd+, wild-type E. coli strain MG1655, and Hpx/dndE mutant cells were grown under optimal or temperature/pressure/salinity/pH/ CuSO4 stress conditions, and cell growth was monitored. (B) WP3NR/Dnd+, WP3NR/Dnd mutant and WP3NR cells were grown under low-temperature, low-salinity, high-pressure and CuSO4 stress conditions, and cell growth was monitored. The growth of the strains was detected at OD600nm. The data shown represent the results of three independent experiments, and the error bars indicate the standard deviations.
