The effect of PMM-172 on the cell apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 cells. (A) MDA-MB-231 cells were treated with various concentrations of PMM-172 or Stattic for 24 h, or treated with 4 μM PMM-172 for different time. Apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry by using Annexin V/PI double staining. (B) The percentage of apoptotic cells in MDA-MB-231 cells treated with various concentrations of PMM-172 for 24 h. (C) The percentage of apoptotic cells in MDA-MB-231 cells treated with 4 μM PMM-172 for different time. (D) The percentage of apoptotic cells in MDA-MB-231 cells treated with various concentrations of Stattic for 24 h. (E) PARP and caspase 3 cleavage in MDA-MB-231 cells after treated with various concentrations of PMM-172 for 24 h were detected by using Western blot analysis. The relative expression level was analyzed by Image J software. Data were shown as mean ± SD of three independent experiments. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01.
