Urine output and urine concentrating ability changes were related to renal AQP 2 expression. Among renal AQPs and AVPV2R proteins, YH decreased AQP 2 expression while GC increased it. Other proteins were not considerably changed, which indicated that total renal AQP 2 may be the key target of YH and GC in diuretic activity.
