Growth of S. aureus and B. subtilis in the presence of non-labeled FDG. S. aureus HG001 was grown in TSB (A), and the B. subtilis strains 168 (WT), ΔptsI and ΔptsG were grown in LB (B,C and D) with increasing concentrations of non-radiolabeled FDG as indicated in color code. OD600 readings were recorded every 10 min.
