HuR/TTP axis mRNA levels are altered in patients with endometriosis: RNA binding protein expression profiles in endometriosis patients and in normal fertile controls. mRNA transcripts for ZFP36 remain unchanged (Panel A). Transcripts for ZFP36L1, ELAVL1 were significantly downregulated in eutopic and ectopic endometrium from endometriosis patients when compared to normal endometrium from fertile healthy controls (Panels B,C). Transcripts for ZFP36L2 was significantly downregulated in eutopic endometrium from patients with endometriosis compared to fertile healthy control women (Panel D). Expression data illustrated as mean ± SEM. *P < 0.05. Sample groups consisted of n = 22 human eutopic endometrium, n = 22 human ectopic endometriotic lesions, and n = 16 normal control endometrium.
