  1. “Predation” represents the presence or absence of effective piscivores in the site where guppies were sampled (i.e., HP vs. LP). “Epilithon” is the average AFDM from pools at a site, and “invertebrates” is the biomass of invertebrates at that site. All models include the river as a random effect to account for differences among rivers.
