qRT-PCR validation of two miRNAs identified as differentially expressed by miRNA profiling. Graphs show relative expression levels of miR-16 and miR-32 in infected and uninfected samples. Data is normalized against relative levels of miR-103. Values were normalized to set the average for uninfected horses to 1. The difference between infected and uninfected groups was analysed in Graph Pad Prism software, using a two-tailed Student’s t test, with a P value of <0.05 considered to be statistically significant. Error bars represent standard deviation of triplicates.
