Southern blot hybridisation analysis of SSUsat repeats in Spisula subtruncata. Agarose gel electrophoresis of PvuII and HaeIII digested genomic DNA of Spisula subtruncata showing ladder-like multimer bands of a 315 bp monomer unit (a). After being Southern blotted on a nitrocellulose membrane, the electrophoresed DNA was hybridised with an SSUsat monomer probe yielding identical ladder-like multimer bands of a 315 bp monomer unit (b).
