From: Radiative recombination of confined electrons at the MgZnO/ZnO heterojunction interface
High-resolution PL spectra of three samples of ZnO/c-sapphire, MgZnO/c-sapphire, and MgZnO/ZnO/c-sapphire at 7 K using a 325 nm laser excitation source. The bilayer exhibits a luminescence H-band at ~3.2 eV, which is absent in the constituent single-layer films.
