Nanopore sequencing. Shown are the sequenced fragment size distributions for the (a) R7.3 chemistry 2D reads, (b) R9 chemistry 1D reads, (c) R9 chemistry 2D reads and (d) R9.4 chemistry 1D reads. Dotted lines indicate the minimum (542 bp) and typical (1270 bp) read lengths that can be used for linking two seeds in the 0.29× overage 285 bp set. The minimum length is 2 × 285 bp with no more than 10% overlap between seeds. The typical length assumes an average of one seed per 985 bp (genome size divided by number of seeds).
