Aphid preference for safe vs. risky host plant after exposure to different levels of non-lethal predator-associated risk. Myzus persicae total numbers per plant (mean ±SE) across four clones (C1–C4) under different levels of non-lethal predator-associated cues (Fear Factors: FF2–FF4). Aphid clones were exposed to visual-olfactory cues associated with the dead plant-tethered predator (FF2), shoot-sprayed cues (FF3) and soil-infused ones (FF4). The safe plant (non-treated with Fear Factor) is depicted in blue while the risky plant is displayed in red.
