The proposed cell-cell interaction network between cancer and the normal cells in the microenvironment derived from melanoma single-cell data. To highlight the crosstalk between cancer cells and the microenvironment, we filtered out all the interactions not involved in cancer cells. (a) The network shows the number of all the proposed ligand-receptor interactions involving melanoma cancer cells and the normal cells in the micro-environment. The majority of the interactions seem to involve the endothelial cells, CAFs and cancer cells themselves. (b) The top 2% of the ligand-receptor pairs cross-talking between cancer cells and normal cells. The ranking is based on the exclusiveness score of the interaction (exclusiveness score: gene expression level of one cell type divided by the mean across all cell types).
