Repeated stimulation of β-cells expressing bPAC. (A) Cells were illuminated with blue light every 12 hours for 2 days. Cells expressing bPAC (bPAC) displayed higher rates of insulin release (ng insulin/mg total protein/h) upon exposure to light vs. non-transduced MIN6 β-cells (control).
