Urinary 20β-DHF is detectable in human urine and increased in obesity. (A) Obese (BMI >25, n = 37) humans excrete 20β-DHF at higher levels than lean (BMI <25, n = 15) humans. (B) 20β-DHF is readily detectable in human plasma but concentrations are not altered in obesity (n = 10/group). Plasma cortisol and corticosterone were not different between the groups.
