Pathogenicity of the K/09 and its mouse-adapted viruses in mice. Averaged body weight changes and survival rates of BALB/c mice (n = 10 per group) after the intranasal infection (104, 105, and 106 PFU) with the wild-type K/09 (P0) and its mouse-adapted (ma-P1, -P3, and -P5) viruses were represented in average. Mice in the mock group were infected with PBS. Error bars denote standard deviation (SD). * P < 0.05, ** P  < 0.01, and *** P  < 0.001 (compared with the K/09 infection group).
