Red arrows indicated the formation of granulation tissues below the surface of the wound. Black arrow in B1 indicated inflammation in the wounds of DM rats that are absence in the wounds of DM_V rats (B2). (C) The H&E images at 20X showed the epithelial layer of Ctrl_V rats healed faster at Day 4 post wounding by forming crust/scab on the surface of the wound, while inflammation was still observed in the epithelial layer of Ctrl rats.
