Work flow of RSV isolate culture, sample titre and sequencing from patient nasopharyngeal (NP) samples. Patient NP samples that were determined to be positive for single RSV type-A or type-B infections on a NxTAG RVP Luminex panel at the Provincial Health Laboratories (PROVLab) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada were submitted for study. Aliquots of each sample were either propagated in immortalized HEp-2 cells or RNA extracted for RSV RNA titre determination and RSV genome sequencing analysis.
