Immunization with hIAPP oligomer reduces the T2DM phenotype. (A) Mice received intraperitoneal injections of hIAPP oligomers (blue diamond) or vehicle (red squares), along with an adjuvant. Blood glucose levels were evaluated every 7 days. As shown, there was a statistically significant difference between the mock and treated groups (N = 13 in each group, values are means ± s.d). (B) Body weight measurements over time in mice receiving vehicle (red squares) and treatment (blue diamond, N = 10 in each group).
