Effects of in vitro hyperthermia experiments on cell death rates after nanoparticle treatments. HEK293 cells were treated with indicated nanoparticles (24 h of incubation in the presence of 100 µg ml⁻¹ of nanoparticles). The control cells are shown in gray and VIP1, VIP3 and VIP6 nanoparticles treated cells are shown in red, blue and green, respectively. Cell death was assessed by Flow Cytometry using determination of dead cells by propidium iodide incorporation.
