E2 effects on VEGFA mRNA and protein expression: 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated for 2, 6, 12 and 24 hours with 0.1, 10 nM and 100 nM of E2. Cells treated only with vehicle were used as control (0E2). VEGFA protein (a and b) and mRNA (c) were analyzed by Western blotting and qPCR, respectively. In panel b, are shown the graph with the results referent to the treatments with 10 and 100nM of E2 for 24 hours with a representative autoradiogram. Full-length blots of the cropped image are presented in Supplementary Figure S1.
