Hardness during quasi-static and impact nanoindentation of different materials normalized by their theoretical hardness over indentation/impact strain rate. The normalized hardness converges to approximately 75% Hth at high rates for all glasses. The high and low rate regimes are expanded for clarity in an (a) linear and (b) logarithmic scaling of the rate axis, respectively.
