The sensitivity of SAI system according to the disease duration was favourable, with 76.9% during days 1–3, 93.8% for days 4–6, and 96.0% for day 7 onwards, compared with 69.2%, 62.5%, and 64.0%, respectively, as detected by the control reagent. SAI: silver amplification immunochromatography.
