Optimal reaction temperature of mutant enzymes compared to the native CTendo45. The optimal reaction temperature for each endoglucanase activity was assayed at temperatures ranging from 30 °C to 80 °C in 50 mM acetate buffer (pH 4) using 1% (w/v) CMC-Na as the substrate. The highest activity was defined as 100%. Values are the means ± SD of three replicates.
