Thermostability of mutant enzymes compared to the native CTendo45. Enzymes were incubated for 200 min at different temperatures ranging from 40 °C to 90 °C before measurement of the remaining activity. The remaining activity of each endoglucanase was assayed at 60 °C for 30 min incubation using 1% (w/v) CMC-Na (a) and 0.2% (w/v) β-D-glucan (b) as substrates, respectively. The highest activity was defined as 100%. Values are the means ± SD of three replicates.
