Isoform-specific differences in cell-cell adhesion are controlled by ectodomain shedding. Veh: vehicle (0.4% DMSO), A-Fc: soluble ALCAM-Fc (10 μg/mL), MPi: metalloprotease inhibitor (GM6001, 10 μM). (b) Quantification of in vitro cell aggregation assay. Clusters were binned into single cell, small (Sm), medium (Med), large (Lrg) or extra-large (XL) clusters based on pixel area.
